AI Product Engineer

Engineering / London, UK

A cure can now be designed in an afternoon. But in medicine nothing ships without proof — the methods, records, and sign-offs that show a dose was made right — and the proof still takes years. Seal turns that proof into software, so treatments reach patients in days, not decades.

This is not a sandbox. Therapies that teach a patient's immune system to hunt cancer are manufactured on our code, and the records our software produces decide whether a dose can be given. You can read our full mission here.

You will own the primitives everything else stands on: the data model, the automation engine, the AI interfaces. Seal works like a developer platform for scientists — everything is version-controlled, and configuration ships in change sets that behave exactly like pull requests for scientific processes. Customers compose their own operating systems from what you build, so each capability has to be designed one abstraction deeper than the feature it enables.

The platform is TypeScript, AI-native from the start. Today the AI is a co-pilot that lets a scientist compose and evolve their own system in hours. Your next problem is putting it into the runtime: agents that reason over the data the platform captures — making decisions, flagging risks, accelerating production.

We are a tiny team with an extremely high bar. There are no tickets. Each week we argue about what matters, and you take one problem end to end: the spec, the architecture, the code, the ship.

There is no customer success layer. You talk to customers directly, share an on-call rota covering US timezones, and fly onsite when it matters — wherever in the world that is. You are the person who hears when something breaks. That is the point.

You think from first principles and care pathologically about product — able to hold the aesthetic of a UI in your head while designing the primitives beneath it. What languages you know matters far less than how you think and how hard you go.

This is an in-person role in London. We sponsor visas for the right person. If this compels you rather than intimidates you, join us.
