# Seal > Seal makes every GxP run better than the last. Lab, manufacturing and quality work runs on Seal, where Neil, your AI agent, learns from every run and configures the next improvement for you to approve. Neil works across your records and connected systems to analyse data, configure processes and propose improvements from run evidence. Your team tests and approves process changes before release. ## How Seal evolves with AI Each improvement can become a new process version with its specifications, test evidence and approvals attached. Earlier runs retain the version they used, so the system can evolve without rewriting its history. Every run adds context for the next investigation or improvement. Lab, manufacturing and quality workflows use a shared ontology in Seal. It defines the types of records used in the work and their relationships: a sample belongs to a batch, a result comes from a test, and an investigation links to the affected work. Teams and Neil can follow those relationships to the evidence behind a decision. Each record retains its history, and earlier runs keep the process version they used. ## What Neil does - Answers questions across permitted records and connected systems, with the sources shown. - Investigates results, bringing development, manufacturing and quality evidence together. - Turns a procedure into a proposed working process in Seal, for your team to test and approve. - Proposes improvements from the evidence of real runs. Neil proposes; people approve. It never releases a change on its own, and AI features can be switched off for the whole organisation. - Customer data is not used to train AI models under Seal’s agreements. - In line with the EU’s draft GMP Annex 22 on AI (consultation version, July 2025, not yet adopted): Neil is not used in GMP execution. It helps set up configuration, which your team verifies and releases under change control, and prepares evidence for qualified people to assess.
